Pameran Tunggal Fatih Jagad Raya
Tanah Airku Banyak Dedemit
13 Juni – 12 Juli 2026
Di Orbital Dago
Jl. Rancakendal Luhur no 7
Bandung, Indonesia
Sebuah pameran yang menyoroti wajah-wajah “dedemit” modern — bukan makhluk gaib penghuni gelap hutan-rimba, melainkan sosok-sosok yang hidup di tengah masyarakat: rakus, manipulatif, haus kuasa, dan tanpa nurani. Menari-nari, berjoget diatas penderitaan.
Terakhir ia mendapatkan penghargaan utama Grey Art Award tahun 2026.

Fatih Jagad Raya Solo Exhibition
Tanah Airku Banyak Dedemit (My Homeland Has Many Demons)
June 13 – July 12, 2026
At Orbital Dago
Jl. Rancakendal Luhur No. 7
Bandung, Indonesia
This exhibition highlights the faces of modern-day “dedemit” (demons)—not supernatural beings lurking in dark forests and wilderness, but figures living among society itself: greedy, manipulative, power-hungry, and devoid of conscience. They dance and celebrate atop the suffering of others. Through works incorporating tulle fabric, video, lenticular media, and satirical symbolism, Fatih Jagad Raya—a new media Bandung born artist —invites visitors to both laugh at and critically reflect on a social and political reality that feels increasingly absurd.
Centered on the issue of deforestation, Fatih’s works operate within the realm of socio-political critique, employing visual metaphors and collective memory to examine contemporary Indonesian realities. Deforestation refers to the permanent removal of forests for other forms of land use, such as plantations, mining, infrastructure development, or settlements. In Indonesia, this issue is of particular concern, as the country is home to one of the largest and most biodiverse tropical rainforest regions in the world.
In Fatih’s conception, the “dedemit” can be read as a metaphor for socio-political elites, while also representing individuals who have lost their moral compass: corruption, abuse of power, oligarchic practices, and feudal cultures that continue to persist within modern systems. Such criticism resonates with ongoing public discourse surrounding contemporary feudalism and the enduring cult of power in Indonesia.
Within the context of contemporary art, Fatih’s works demonstrate that social criticism does not need to be literal. He employs dark atmospheres, symbolic figures, satirical texts, and visual metaphors to create an emotional experience for viewers. Audiences are invited to interpret the works not only through sight, but also through their own social experiences—of poverty, injustice, fear, and the absurdities of everyday political life.
Fatih Jagad Raya has participated in numerous group exhibitions both in Indonesia and internationally. Most recently, he received the top honor at the Grey Art Award 2026.
